Texture and Shadow

Light falling on natural forms and objects are a great source of design inspiration. Indeed, architecture and nature provide wonderful shapes, as light is diffused and filtered through its contours, forming opaque silhouettes and dappled shadows, creating a feeling of movement as the light dances across a surface.
The sky is an ever-changing canvas as light levels rise and fall, developing before our eyes with the view shifting from wispy, fragile layers to sombre, inky and brooding, creating a myriad of subtle colours.

“Find beauty not only in the thing itself but in the pattern of the shadows, the light and dark which that thing provides”
Junichiro Tanizaki
