The Botanical Trend

11th September 2018

Clinging onto the best Summer since the 70s and daring to prolong that feeling, the Skopos design studio have been exploring the vibe of faraway lands.

The botanical trend is still continuing this year, influencing our interiors, wardrobes and even kitchenware, bringing to life Pantone’s colour of the year “Greenery.” There has been a noticeable growth in silhouettes of household plants, foliage patterns, exotic statement prints and the continuing desire to be surrounded by nature within the home and working environments. The botanical theme has taken a tropical turn, a look which is set to stay well into next year.

Our designers have been researching the flora and fauna of island life to inspire design ideas and themes. Following on from “Greenery” Skopos are exploring life-like palms and plants, exotic fruits and blossoms and a quirky nod to the jungle. Experimenting with multiple drawing and recording techniques, the next Skopos print looks set to be a little on the wild side.
