Trepassey Care Home - Heswall, Wirral
Part of Cheshire Residential Care Homes, Trepassey is located in an attractive area of Heswall and enjoys magnificent views of the Dee Estuary and Welsh Hills.
A substantial upgrade and expansion of the existing site by Tweed Nutall Warburton Architecture included a 2 storey extension, creating specialist dementia care wings with access to an all weather secure and peaceful dementia garden.
Brief:
Skopos were asked to provide fabrics and furnishings for bedrooms and public areas that would meet the needs of dementia residents and co-ordinate with carpets already chosen for the space.
Outcome:
Tranquil Print designs from the Lowanna collection were selected for curtains in stimulating cheerful Colours, with natural plains from Northern Lights in the lounge.
A Peru plain in a contrasting colour was added as a leading edge to help residents’ drawing of curtains. Scatter cushions in the same designs were used throughout the home in bedrooms and public areas.
Antimicrobial, waterproof, soil and stain resist upholstery from Chamonix and Moritz collections, perfect for care environments, were chosen in lively tones with contrasting piping. Contrasting shades and clear edges helped residents with poor eyesight identify furniture outlines.
