Coniston Hotel Country Estate & Spa Classic Rooms & Banister Suite

Brief:

Continuing the Hotel’s refurbishment, the directors of the Coniston approached Skopos to produce new schemes for their Classic   Bedrooms and The Banister Suite function room.  The bedroom brief was to update the current décor for a more bright and modern feel. The team at Skopos put together 5 mood boards including curtains, pelmets, upholstery and cushion fabrics.  These were presented to the directors and the 2 favoured schemes were put into production.

The Banister suite, an ideal space for meetings and events, needed curtains and sheers to co-ordinate with the chosen carpet.

Outcome:

The Blue scheme comprised of the bold  geometric Timo in the Fjord colourway from the Oslo Collection.  This was used on the pelmet and curtains in classic bedrooms.  Dove multipurpose velvet  cushions in the Royal Colourway coordinated with the blue of the curtain perfectly.  The Upholstery, supplied by Seatable,  Huddersfield was made up in Hughes in the subtle blue and grey Creek colourway, from the Herriot collection.  A desk chair finished the room, with the geometric Bandeira design from the La Feria Collection in the striking Jay colour.

The Green scheme used the same fabric designs but in different colourways.  The curtain and pelmet were in Timo Teal and the Dove cushions in the contemporary Forest Green.  The upholstery complimented the greens with the contrasting grey of Hughes Herring,  Bandeira Peacock on the desk chair provided the final pop of colour.

To add a finishing touch to The Banister suite, the contemporary geometric Oru design from the Origami collection was used for the curtains. The light grey and white Husky colourway coordinated with the grey and white tones of the carpet perfectly.

All of Skopos’ prints are offered on a wide choice of base-cloths, suitable for use on curtains, bedding, or furniture.
